Decades of research in learning design, analytics, and technologies.
The IDEALS system and solution is built on decades of research in learning design, analytics, technologies and a track record of implementations from the classrooms.
Nancy Law served as the Founding Director and is currently the Deputy Director of the Centre for Information Technology in Education (CITE). An elected fellow of the International Society of the Learning Sciences, she is known for her work on scalable, technology-enhanced innovations in education.
Building on decades of research in learning design, learning analytics, and digital citizenship, her team at CITE developed the conceptual framework for the Intelligent DEsign-Aware Learning analytics empowered 21st Century Learning & Teaching System (IDEALS). As an integrated platform, IDEALS supports e-learning design, implementation, assessment and data-informed feedback for whole-school transformation.
With major support from the Quality Education Fund's e-Learning Ancillary Facilities Programme and the Research Grants Council General Research Fund of the HKSAR Government, the IDEALS system was piloted with 14 Hong Kong schools as a design-based partnership to empower teachers, leaders and students to co-create agile, future-ready learning environments.
